Erweiterte Gesundheitsintelligenz für persönliche Verhaltensstrategien im Alltag

Motivation

Although interest in and commitment to one’s own health is increasing among the population as a whole, it is often difficult for individuals to implement appropriate measures in their daily lives. Existing offers are currently often only used by people who have a good health behavior anyway.

Goals and approach

The aim of the project Eghi (link to the official Eghi website) is to develop an AI-based, learning assistance system that supports healthy everyday behavior. To this end, data from wearables and smartphones will be analyzed to provide users with suggestions for health-promoting behavior – based on situation analyses, behavioral models and a digital twin (virtual image of a human being). Through sensor-based observation and modeling of situations and behavior patterns, a wealth of experience between users and AI is to be created, which serves as a common communication level, between humans and AI. Through novel, AI-based strategy modeling, individual decision-making aids and recommendations for application scenarios such as healthy nutrition, exercise in everyday life, and support in old age are to be provided from a large amount of user data.

Innovations and prospects

With the new assistance system, it will be possible to provide personalized, adaptive behavioral recommendations that relate to relevant experiences of people and are easy to implement.
